 Hennig Dyes, 70 years old, is a Costa Rican of German decent. He began designing and building wooden lamps as a hobby and has been in business for over 20 years. His concepts are based on designs he originally saw in Norway. The lamps are made of Plantation Pine, a wood that is grown exclusively for the purpose of harvest at 8000 feet in the Costa Rican Highlands.
